About
Originally from the Atlanta area, Kate currently lives in Brooklyn where when not reading or writing, they can be found walking their charmingly cranky chiweenie, Etta, in Prospect Park; hiking Breakneck Ridge for the fiftieth time, or hanging upside down at the climbing gym. They graduated with an MFA in Fiction from The New School where they were also the Readings and Community Development Assistant. By night she is an assistant editor for Uncharted Magazine focusing on Mystery & Thriller, and by day she works in academic comms and events and drinks too much black coffee. They are the former co-host of Community Craft and a member of the Writer’s Guild and AWP.
They’re currently working on a queer, gothic novel about murder, bodily possession, and catering in NYC.

Their story, The Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis was featured on the Art of the Short podcast.
