About
Originally from the Atlanta area, Kate currently lives in Brooklyn where when not reading or writing, they can be found walking their charmingly cranky chiweenie, Etta, in Prospect Park; hiking Breakneck Ridge for the fiftieth time, or hanging upside down at the climbing gym.
By day they work in strategic communications in the higher ed sector, and by night they’re a reader for the Wigleaf Top Fifty, and an active member of the Writer’s Guild and AWP. Kate is an alum of the Kenyon Summer Writer’s Workshop and the Lambda Literary Writer’s Retreat.
They graduated with an MFA in Fiction from The New School where they were also the Readings and Community Development Assistant. Formerly they were an Assistant editor at Uncharted Magazine and co-host of Community Craft.

Their story, The Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis was featured on the Art of the Short podcast.
